Leigh's film career began in the late 1940s when she was accepted by MGM. Her name was found by Norma Shearer. Through the years that followed her appearances in many popular films including Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (1960), and Living It Up by Martin and Lewis (a 1954 film).
